Build to Print

Teledyne Defence & Space (TDS) have worked on a number of specialised projects for various customers requiring a Build to Print where high frequency electronic understanding is a must. Working in conjunction with customer’s engineers we optimize manufacturing, performance & cost to make this a real win-win relationship. CIED

Teledyne Defence & Space (TDS) offer a number of innovative compact SWaP solutions leveraging broadband filter and power amplifer experience, with the ability to produce in a rapid manufacturing environment for UOR demands in a classified governemt facilty. Products to be considered for this application would include SSPA's, Filters & Transeivers for agile jamming applications.

Communications

Ground, ship, and airborne communications and data systems are needed to keep platforms on target and mission. This requires interoperability between forces, common communications protocols and datalinks. Teledyne Defence & Space offers a range of products that enable these systems to work together. On current and future platforms new and undefined interference is inevitable, but can be negated with TDS’s latest tunable filter technology. From the Electro Mechanical Remote tuned filters to the new MMIC high speed notch filter, TDS can help drive success for all systems to interoperate. Information superiority is paramount, and we can make it a reality.

Teledyne Defence & Space has a long established world heritage in adaptive filtering, interference suppression and wideband multifunction assembles. Platforms include Airborne, Naval & Land where SWaP is critical for system integration. Many of these units are available in difference configurations from standalone components to VME base modules.

Environmental Services

Teledyne Defence & Space (TDS) has a full environmental test facility which is available for hire when needed. TDS maintains this facility primarily to support its own development and manufacturing but it is often available to provide services that can be utilizied for qualification, manufacturing and engineering of other companies’ products.

Legacy

With customers’ need to extend platform life, it’s become an increasing problem to support systems that are extended for many decades beyond the originally designed life.

Radar

Teledyne Defence & Space is one of the world's leading producers of microwave components and sub-systems, some of which apply directly to Radar applications. Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA) development over the past decade has led to the incorporation of GaN devices. These new devices are now being incorporated in our latest X & Ku Band SSPA’s for SWaP applications with peak power levels up to 100W.

Radar Warning Receivers

Teledyne Defence & Space has a long established world heritage in providing key building blocks for RWR including front end assemblies incorporating switched filters & amplitude and frequency modules. Platforms include Airborne, Naval & Land where SWaP is critical for system integration. Many of these units are available in different configurations from standalone components to VME base modules. Our SWaP capabilities enable many of our designs to be incorporated onto small platforms for asset protection. This is highlighted with the PHOBOS system which is best in class for size weight and power.

Space

Teledyne Defence & Space (TDS) has historically provided components, such as fixed filters, to the space industry for a number of space programs. In June 2016 TDS was awarded a multi-year contract with OneWeb Satellites to develop and manufacture channelised converters for the 900 satellite constellation. This opportunity gives TDS a sound footing in the space industry that will only expand and grow in the coming months and years.

Test & Measurement

Teledyne Defence & Space (TDS) have worked on a number of specialised projects for various Test & Measurement manufacturers. Leveraging our microelectronics capability, TDS has produced a number of RF modules that are embedded inside very familiar test equipment. The combination of our microwave designers and our deep experience in high volume manufacturing puts TDS in a good position to deliver these types of products with the highest quality, both designed in-house and as a build-to-print solution.
